About Mahoney Environmental

In 1953, at a tiny facility in Willow Springs, Illinois, James Mahoney created Mahoney Grease Service, the forerunner to Mahoney Environmental. As a collector of used fryer oil, he started with a couple of used trucks and a lot of heart. Over the years, as word spread of his honesty and reliability, more and more local and regional accounts signed up for service. And those two trucks soon became an entire fleet. John Mahoney expanded his menu of services to include collecting and disposing of meat scraps, grease trap cleaning and fat and bone. He also established a network of manufacturing and dispatching facilities in central Indiana, southeastern Michigan and northern Illinois and built a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art processing plant in Mendota, Illinois. Today, with the advent of our revolutionary Direct-Connection(r) Recycler(tm) System, Mahoney Environmental serves the food service industry across the United States.
